The Salvation Army, as an international movement, is an evangelical branch of the Christian Church.

      Its Message is based on the Bible
      Its Ministry is motivated by the love
      of God and a practical concern for the needs of humanity.
      Its Mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, supply basic human             needs, personal counseling and undertake the spiritual and moral                   regeneration and physical rehabilitation of all persons in need who                 come within its sphere of influence regardless of race, color, creed,                 sex or age.
 

The Salvation Army in Dundas has been serving the needs of those in this community for over 100 years. We are a spiritual organization, with a sincere desire to help relieve genuine need.

A Volunteer was late in making her daily call to an elderly person living alone. The Volunteer received a call from the elderly person who said, "you didn't call this morning". The Volunteer replied, "I was about to call". To this the elderly person replied, "Then I will hang up and let you call back because if you don't call the PHONE WON'T RING TODAY".

The Salvation Army's programs and services are greatly enhanced by the many individuals who volunteer their TIME and TALENTS regularly.  Volunteers come from all walks of life and support the Army in almost all of its activities.

As a Volunteer you can and will make an investment in your Community. You can make a differance by sharing your TIME, ENERGY and SKILLS, with those who need our services.
